# ChabuLab Rulers

> A free, true-size on-screen ruler (cm, mm, inches) and protractor (degrees) at https://tools.chabulab.com/ruler and https://tools.chabulab.com/protractor, with Vietnamese pages under /vi. Browsers cannot report a screen's physical size (a CSS inch is 96 CSS pixels by definition), so true length needs a one-time calibration per screen, for example with any ID-1 card (bank card, ID card, driver's licence: 85.60 × 53.98 mm, ISO/IEC 7810). Angles need no calibration. It runs entirely in the browser: nothing is uploaded, no account, free. Made by ChabuLab.

Every page also has a Markdown copy: add `.md` to its address (`/ruler.md`, `/vi/ruler/help.md`) or send `Accept: text/markdown`.
